Formentera, Spain (Balearic Islands)

Formentera is the smallest of the Balearic Islands located just south of Ibiza and boasts a length of only 12 miles from tip to tip. It is often referred to as the ‘last paradise of the Mediterranean’ due to its lack of urban development and limit on the number of resorts that are allowed to be built. The island's main attraction is its untouched and often deserted beaches. Part of the charm of Formentera is the fact that the small island has no airport. Holidaymakers fly into Ibiza airport and make their way down to the harbor in Ibiza Town to catch one of the many ferries to this idyllic isle. [video below]
