Hi Michael,
The European architecture is pretty elaborate isn't it. I remember the City Hall and such in Scandinavia was decorated comparable to a church or a palace with mosaic tile, marble flooring, and stained windows, etc. Lots of gold leaf to embellish the decor. Nothing like what we would see here. I'm glad you are enjoying some free time to acquaint yourself with the various countries surrounding you.
Hope you and Machele enjoyed a very nice Easter. Ours was small, since your parents were ill and could not attend. We had brats and different kinds of homemade side dishes courtesy of SW. She outdid herself on Dutch Apple Pie and a vanilla ice cream and lemon cookie creation with cranberry and pomegranate sauce and lemon curd over the top. She took a big bag of leftovers over to your parents afterward. We had a good day without rain. We have been getting almost daily downpours or at least showers. The rainiest April on record since the 189?.
